Denis Island is enchanting and totally unspoilt, covered in coconut palms and encircled by tempting shallow lagoons. The tranquil resort itself is a stone’s throw from the beach and exudes a perfect combination of simplicity, comfort, pleasure and relaxation.

Location
Reached by a 30 minute flight from Mahé airport.


Accommodation
25 beautiful cottages offer private beachfronts, air-conditioning, ceiling fans, outside courtyards, indoor and outdoor showers, double vanity sinks, iPod docking stations, tea/coffee making facilities and mini bars. Cottages have their own sea facing verandahs and are dotted around the island between coconut palms and the powder white sands to ensure total privacy. Each of the 10 Beachfront Spa Cottages additionally offer a wooden terrace with outdoor sala and a massage pavilion. For families we recommend the extra space of the Family Villa, due to its additional bedroom and lounge area, and honeymooners love the Beach Villa with its private plunge pool, massage and wellness zone.

Facilities
The main lodge houses the airy seafront restaurant and bar areas, with a reputation for serving some of the finest cuisine in the Seychelles. The Creole buffet is a must and themed evenings 3 times a week provide the opportunity to sample a variety of dishes with live cooking demonstrations. For a more intimate option, a special menu can be served in the privacy of the Wine Cellar. Denis Island, famous for its fishing and boat trips, will also get you close to manta rays, dolphins and turtles. There’s a PADI dive centre and snorkelling and canoeing are both offered. There is also a swimming pool, island boutique, tennis and billiards. Guided nature walks along meandering pathways are also a great way to discover the island. Head towards the old lighthouse and there’s a chance of seeing the island’s rare birds along the way.
