Just the words ‘Indian Ocean’ conjure up an exotic image of palm-fringed beaches, warm sun and turquoise sea………and that is exactly what you’ll find here. The only question is, which island or group of islands to choose for your luxury indian ocean holiday. Home to picture-perfect, castaway islands paired with the comfort of luxury living, an exquisite Indian Ocean holiday is hard to beat. From the tiny islands that make up the Maldives archipelago, to the golden sands of Mauritius, our hand-picked collection of luxurious hotels all give the highest service and will allow you to experience levels of relaxation that you may not have found anywhere else. For the more active, spend your days snorkelling or trying your hand at the many watersports on offer. For those who prefer to spend time on dry land, Mauritius is home to some of the world’s leading golf courses. Lying to the south west of India and sprawling down towards the equator are the idyllic Maldives, a collection of around 1,200 islands grouped in a series of picturesque atolls. Perhaps the quintessential image of a desert island they offer some of the world’s best diving, a choice of gorgeous resorts and the chance of some real down time. A little further south and east the Seychelles islands sit right on the equator and about 1,000 miles east of the Kenyan coast. They vary enormously in size from the larger Mahe and Praslin, to the smaller, private islands offering real privacy and luxury. Again the diving in parts of the Seychelles is phenomenal and there is great variation in the style of hotels and resorts here so you’re sure to find something that appeals. Further south again is Mauritius. A relatively large island for this part of the world it connects well with South Africa if you wanted to combine safari and beach in one holiday. Alternatively, fly direct from the UK and simply relax. The choice of resorts here means that competition (and therefore service levels and value for money) is high with a great effort made to cater for couples and families alike. Well-equipped resorts and hundreds of miles of pristine coastline make this a great choice for all ages.

The volcanic formation of the island means a dramatic backdrop of densely forested, emerald hills sweeps down through sugar cane plantations to golden, sandy beaches and crystal clear Indian Ocean waters with glimmering reefs.
