Mauritius has a well-earned reputation as the go-to Indian Ocean Island for beach lovers at almost any time of year. The plethora of resorts dotted all around the island’s coast cater to every requirement and taste whether you are a family of five needing plenty of activities as well as childcare and babysitting or a romantic couple looking for somewhere intimate and indulgent to spend your precious time away together. Many hotels are equipped with extensive spas, tennis courts and even golf courses, all set on stunning white sand beaches lapped by the warm waters of the Indian Ocean. Mauritius makes an ideal getaway if you simply want to kick back for a week or two but it also combines perfectly with South Africa if you’re looking for a multi-centre holiday or a big five African safari combined with some relaxation. Direct flights to Mauritius from both the UK and Johannesburg make this a no-brainer. In such a competitive five-star market there is also great value to be had here with especially good offers often available for early bookers and honeymooners. So whether you are looking for a spa break, family holiday, honeymoon or beach extension to your safari, talk to one of our Indian Ocean experts to find the perfect resort for you.

The best months to visit Mauritius are May to early December. Mauritius enjoys a typically tropical climate with year-round heat.
