Don’t be led into thinking that Spain is all about package holidays and overcrowded beach resorts as there’s so much more beyond with fascinating culture, beautiful scenery, fantastic food, wine and luxury hideaways. Tapas is at the heart of Spanish culture; it’s all about socialising and enjoying the finer things in life and this is evident throughout the country, especially in the more rural towns and villages which are not short of a fiesta or two. Few countries do festivals better than the Spanish and their energy and colour permeates through all elements of the celebrations. A particular favourite of ours is the Feria in Seville. Whether you are looking for a relaxing stay on the Balearic island of Mallorca, a short break to explore the culture of Andalucia, or escaping for some luxury winter sun in the Canary Islands, Spain will always tempt you back and we have chosen just a small number of destinations that we hope will beguile you.
