The beauty and rustic charm of Tuscany really has to be seen to be believed. This famous region of Italy is jam-packed with ancient hilltop towns, luxurious castello and idyllic landscapes of cypress trees, olive groves, vineyards and rolling hills stretching out as far as the eye can see. Particular highlights in our opinion are Siena, with its famous Palio horse race, which takes place twice a year in the summer months, the hilltop town of San Gimignano and the plethora of cultural and historical sites such as the Uffizi Gallery, Accademia and ancient Duomo in Florence. Amazing food and fabulous wine abounds and don’t forget to try your hand at a cooking class during your stay or take part in a spot of truffle hunting with unique and specially trained dogs who will sniff them out before you take them back to your hotel and use them as inspiration for a carefully prepared dish created by your own fair hands.
