A tropical island with 45 white sand beaches and 9 black sand beaches – Grenada is pure paradise for sun worshipers and water babies, and enjoying these unspoilt stretches of sandy perfection will certainly prove one of the highlights of your trip.

The famous Grand Anse has won copious awards as the most beautiful beach in the Caribbean, and rightly so. It is breathtaking with wide swathes of pristine white sand, and perfectly sheltered from strong winds offering the ideal setting for kids to play in calm waters. There is no more perfect a spot for gentle swimming and trying your hand at paddle boarding on crystal clear, mirror-flat waters.

Morne Rouge is a lesser known and quieter beach just along the coast from Grand Anse. Equally as stunning, it’s a vision of natural beauty lined with almond trees and sea grape trees – a peaceful escape for soaking up the Caribbean sunshine.

For some serious escapism, take a boat trip off the north coast to the uninhabited Sandy Island nearby, where you’re guaranteed an experience of blissful isolation. Completely off the tourist trail, play explorer for the day relaxing on the picturesque beach fringed with coconut trees, and make the most of amazing snorkelling opportunities on the island reef.

Sandy Island Beach Grenada

Magazine Beach on the south-west of the island is one of our favourites and is often empty. The amazing beachfront Aquarium Restaurant is a stone’s throw from the water’s edge and a fabulous foodie experience. Spend a lazy Sunday here indulging in a delicious BBQ of fresh lobster under the shade of tall palms and enjoying the fabulous live reggae band that create the most relaxed vibe, perfectly in keeping with your surroundings.

Are you dreaming of a mesmerising pink sunset in a paradisiacal location? Pink Gin Beach in Grenada is our favourite spot to watch the sun go down. Sink into the sand in the warm early evening and watch the sky before you shimmer with every shade of pink as the sun gently slips beyond the horizon. You can’t help but feel at awe at this extraordinarily beautiful sight – this is serenity at its most pure.
