Location On the southeast coast, a 1 hour drive from the airport, or if preferred an 18 minute helicopter transfer can be arranged.

Facilities A delicious mix of western and Indonesian cuisine is served in the main restaurant, while salads and lighter snacks are served in the Beach Club or on The Terrace by the pool. Set below the resort, The Beach Club is also where you’ll find Amankila’s largest pool, as well as kayaks, windsurfers and hobie cats, with lessons available.

The resort includes a signature three-tiered pool, yoga classes, library and boutique. Trekking, mountain biking, tennis and excursions to temples and cultural centres can all be arranged nearby.

Accommodation

34 stilted free-standing suites are spread among the lush vegetation and with their elevated hillside positions, all offer outstanding sea views. Fashioned like beach houses with thatched roofs, each suite has beautiful natural wood interiors. You can choose from 6 different types which all include a canopied four-poster king size bed, luxury bathroom with sunken marble bath, air-conditioning, wireless internet access, mini bar and safe. It’s worth upgrading to a Pool Suite where you’ll enjoy your own private pool within a walled courtyard or for ultimate seclusion, the Amankila Suite has two bedrooms, a pool with sunbeds and private butler service. Suites are connected to the reception and restaurant area by raised walkways.
