Amandari, Bali

Perched on a hillside overlooking rice paddies and the Ayung River gorge, this resort evokes the feel of a traditional Balinese village, with all the luxury of an Aman Resort. Ubud Bali’s spiritual & artistic centre is nearby, making this the perfect place to unwind, rejuvenate and revitalize.

Facilities The beautiful open air Restaurant, boasts spectacular views and serves delicious Indonesian and Western cuisine day and night. There is a 32 meter swimming pool overlooking the rice field terraces below, a gym, sauna & steam bath, a floodlit tennis court and private yoga classes. The surrounding area is just waiting be explored and Amandari can arrange a variety of tailor-made tours, including trekking or cycling through the verdant Ayung Valley, or for the more adventurous, white-water rafting on the Ayung River. Accommodation

30 private thatched-roof suites and the Amandari Villa combine coconut wood, teak and marble to give a luxurious, yet traditional Balinese feel. All suites feature a living area opening onto a walled garden courtyard and are divided into Village, Valley & Pool Suite categories. Suites also offer bathrooms with twin vanities and outdoor sunken marble baths. 11 suites have private swimming pools, with the Asmara & Ayung Suites additionally offering queen size four poster beds on a mezzanine level and views of the Ayung River Gorge. Amandari Suites feature one or two bedrooms, a separate living room pavilion and a covered outdoor dining bale. The impressive three bedroom Amandari Villa offers a kitchen, 2 personal staff, an expansive two-tiered swimming pool and a garden and deck area with private dining bale.
