Jumeirah Bab Al Shams Desert Resort & Spa

Approaching Bab Al Shams out of the desert, you could be forgiven for thinking you've stumbled across a giant film set for a remake of 'Beau Geste'.
Built to resemble a traditional Arabic fortress, there is a great sense of daring deeds and desert adventure about the unique setting.

Location Known as ‘The Gateway to the Sun’, the resort is just a 45 minute drive from Dubai airport and has to be one of the most individual places to stay in the world.

Facilities Bab Al Shams is great for couples and families alike and for the little ones there’s the Sinbad’s Kids’ Club. As well as a desert-side pool, there’s a well-equipped gym and the Satori Spa where you can be pampered from a full menu of treatments for as long as you like. Six restaurants and bars will keep you well fed and watered with both international and Arabic cuisine. We think you’ll love the Al Hadeerah Desert Restaurant which continues the fort theme and includes a souk area where musicians, belly dancer and falconry displays will entertain you. Whatever you do, don’t miss relaxing over cocktails in the rooftop bar as you watch the sun set across the desert – a quite unforgettable experience every single time.

Accommodation

All 115 rooms and suites are decorated and furnished to reflect the ambience of the fort, whilst also offering total luxury. Most rooms have a balcony or terrace. We can particularly recommend the suites, which offer a separate Majlis-style lounge and large walk-in dressing room connected to the bathroom with separate rain shower.

Prices

3 nights from £789 per person in low season and £868 per person in high season in a Deluxe Room on bed & breakfast including flights and private transfers (45 minutes)
