Set on a stunning private beach, The Oberoi is perfect for honeymooners and those in search of luxurious privacy. The pavilions and villas are spacious and feature four poster beds and sunken marble baths. There are two fabulous swimming pools located adjacent to the beach. A treatment at The Oberoi Spa by Banyan Tree comes highly recommended.

It may not be one of the larger tropical resorts in the world, but The Oberoi certainly enjoys a big reputation.

This stylish and secluded hideaway is an acclaimed member of ‘Small Luxury Hotels’ and we think it’s an absolute gem. Everything, from the location to the accommodation to the service, is quite simply exceptional.

Location Just less than an hour’s drive from the airport, The Oberoi is in an exclusive, private setting, yet with the advantage of still only being 15 minutes from Port Louis and Grand Baie with their shops and many attractions.

Facilities You’ll be able to enjoy a full range of watersports as well as two pools, floodlit tennis, gym with personal trainers, beauty parlour, sauna, Jacuzzi, steamroom, yoga, T’ai Chi, sound meditation classes and The Oberoi Turtle Kids’ Club. The holistic Banyan Tree Spa’s setting alone will relax you with its teak pavilions and tranquil ponds, whilst you sample traditional Ayurvedic and aromatherapy treatments.

The main alfresco restaurant will treat you to the finest French, Indian and Creole cuisine and an extensive wine cellar. The sunsets here are spectacular, silhouetting the distant volcanic mountains and accompanied by the evening song of frogs and exotic birds. It’s pure romance.

Accommodation

72 pavilions and villas, accommodation is in spacious Luxury Pavilions with slatted wooden ceilings, four-poster bed, satellite TV, DVD player and sunken marble bath. You could opt for one of the Luxury Villas instead as these have open-air dining pavilions and their own private pools set within walled courtyard gardens.
