I visited here in June 2009 and it is the place for a complete chill-out. Blending sympathetically with the surrounding mountains which dwarf the resort, Zighy Bay is rustic chic - think The Flintstones with 5 star modern amenities, outdoor activities and delicious healthy dining options. A million miles away from the hustle & bustle of everyday life, this resort caters for everyone. All the rooms are large and each has private outdoor living space with an oversize plunge pool, enclosed garden with day beds, sun loungers & dining area. Many rooms interconnect and there are plenty of 2 bedroom duplex villas so it is great for families. I recommend the sea-front rooms with direct access to the beach and unobstructed sea views, and a minimum stay of 3 nights, to completely switch off before spending some time in Dubai.

General ManagerSix Senses Zighy Bay
Location On the northern Musandam Peninsula, the resort is a 90 minute drive from Dubai International Airport. More adventurous guests can also choose to arrive by boat or paraglider!
Facilities Dining on the Sand is the main restaurant serving Pan Asian, Middle Eastern and Continental flavours. The in-villa private dining options are also superb. Senses on the Edge and Drinks on the Edge offer guests a spectacular dining experience high in the mountains overlooking Zighy Bay. Naturally the Six Senses Spa is a major attraction and the mood is set as you approach across stepping stones set on water in a grotto-style tunnel. Then just give in to the temptations of the 9 treatment rooms. As well as the usual watersports (including exquisite diving) and other activities, you can enjoy creative tours and desert adventures like sand boarding.
Special Information Minimum stay of 8 nights between 21 December - 10 January and no check-out permitted on 29, 30 or 31 December. Minimum stay of 7 nights between 1 - 8 April. Compulsory Christmas Eve and New Year ’s Eve gala dinner supplement.
