What We Think

I visited in June 2009 and this place is in a league of its own. Opened in late 2008, Atlantis The Palm offers masses of activities and is the perfect place for families. It is also great that guests receive complimentary access to The Lost Chambers and Aquaventure. I could have spent all day just gazing at the myriad of fish in the huge floor to ceiling aquariums. The wide sandy beach stretches 2km and faces inland towards Dubai. Despite being a large iconic property, there is plenty of space for guests, however the public areas are rather busy with visitors popping in to experience the facilities and restaurants.

Location Situated in prime location at the top of The Palm Jumeirah, the resort is 30 minutes from the airport.

Facilities With a choice of 17 restaurants and bars, dining is an event at this hotel and we think Levantine, Nobu and Locatelli’s lead the way. You could spend whole days at the truly amazing Aquaventure playground, Dolphin Bay and fabulous underwater labyrinth of The Lost Chambers. The Ambassador Lagoon, where sharks and manta rays swim through sunken treasures, is also fascinating. Of course, the hotel also offers sun-soaked pools, an unspoilt private beach, a range of beach activities and 27 sublime treatment rooms in the haven of the Spa and fitness centre.

The 1,539 spacious Rooms and Suites are all sumptuously appointed, enjoy breathtaking views and offer every modern luxury – even the alarm clocks have iPod docks. There is a wide range of accommodation. Deluxe and Atlantis Rooms are situated in the Royal Towers and feature king or queen sized beds and balconies. Executive and Terrace Suites additionally feature a living area, walk-in wardrobes, jetted tubs and marble bathrooms. For a fascinating experience, try the Lost Chambers Suites with floor to ceiling windows looking directly out into the waters of the Ambassador lagoon. Or for the wow factor, experience the Bridge Suite which spans the entire length of the bridge between the two towers; the floor to ceiling windows offer incredible views.
