A lovely established chilled-out resort with probably the widest beach in the Maldives. The island is also home to over 70 species of plants indigenous to the Maldives. Dohni Kolhu offers great value for money compared to some of the other 5 star islands. If your budget permits, do upgrade to an over water lagoon villa which offer unobstructed ocean views and privacy. The Thai restaurant Cornus is superb too.

Discerning travellers will already know that the Maldives are special. So when we tell you that Dhuni Kolhu is widely recognised as one of the most beautiful of the islands, you can expect it to be just what it is - the very vision of paradise.
Part of the stunning Baa Atoll, this sparkling emerald of an island offers the ultimate tropical hideaway, with ivory white beaches and a crystal lagoon.
Location Reached by a 30 minute seaplane ride from Malé.
Facilities It’s worth coming here for the dining alone. There are three excellent restaurants and we particularly recommend the irresistible Maldivian and Thai speciality dishes served in the Cornus Restaurant. In-villa dining is also available. Relaxing beauty and wellbeing treatments don’t come better than in the exotic Coco Spa and there’s plenty to do on land and sea, including tennis, badminton, volleyball, a gym, PADI diving courses, windsurfing, catamaran sailing and water skiing. Two bars, including one over the lagoon, create the perfect atmosphere in which to end another perfect day.
