Perched on a hilltop looking out over Porto Heli sits the luxurious Amanzoe, surrounded by olive groves and offering stunning views out towards the Aegean.
All the Pavilions, Villas and Beach Cabanas have private pools with wonderful outdoor terraces. Interiors are spacious and the style throughout is simple and neutral, using a lot of stone and muted tones with architectural inspiration taken strongly from classical Greek architecture.
The beach club, although not directly in front of the hotel, is a mere five-minute drive, 30-minute walk or 15-minute bicycle ride away. Also located at the beach is a wonderful beachside pool, water sports centre, the resort’s beach club restaurant, serving up light snacks and drinks throughout the day, and the beautiful beach cabanas, offering direct beach access from private pool terraces.
For absolute indulgence we would highly recommend sampling some of the spa’s wonderful treatments, or alternatively enjoy either of the two hammams and not forgetting the yoga and Pilates studio.
Back at the hotel’s main building, the principal restaurant with its floor to ceiling glass windows serves simple and elegant Mediterranean dishes with wonderful views as a backdrop.
If you do ever manage to tear yourself away from this indulgent haven of peace and tranquillity, nearby sites of interest include the islands of Spetses and Hydra as well as the citadel of Mycenae and the sanctuary of Asklepios at Epidaurus.
