The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel, New York, Living Room

Escape to a pinnacle of class and sophistication in the heart of Manhattan’s Upper-East Side; The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel has a dazzling reputation that speaks for itself.

We love this iconic luxury hotel for its fabulous location close to our favourite New York galleries, fine-dining restaurants and up-scale shops, as well as its classically appointed suites, ultra-indulgent Sisley-Paris Spa and of course, the coolest piano bar in town, Cafe Carlyle.

Cafe Carlyle is world renowned for hosting fabulous musicians, particularly jazz greats, to entertain guests over evening cocktails in its atmospheric piano bar, steeped with a history of its own. Every evening the golden age of cabaret comes alive at this city hot-spot, and we couldn’t recommend it more highly as an essential and authentic New York experience; your evening will be filled with entertainment. If fine New York dining is high up on your priorities, the Carlyle Restaurant will dazzle the taste buds – Dover Sole is the house specialty, but the seasonal menus are always sensational. And the restaurant’s old school vibe with mirrored alcoves and vintage photographs decorating the intimate space makes it a wonderful choice for an evening of fine dining with a fabulous atmosphere to boot. Follow this with a cocktail in the cool art-deco Bemelmans Bar and you’ll really start to feel a part of the New York high society scene.

Typical of a Rosewood Hotel, The Carlyle places great importance on every guest feeling completely welcomed into a home away from home on their city break, which is evident in the personal service that you experience from the moment you arrive – nothing is too much trouble, as well as in the comfort of the rooms, decorated with fine antiques, soft wool carpeting and luxurious fabrics. The classic English style interiors are exquisite, and let’s not forget those amazing skyline views from the Tower Rooms, where you’ll be spoilt with an amazing vantage point over the city.

Why not experience something completely unique during your city break, with a private afternoon tea and piano recital at Café Carlyle. It’s an extraordinary way to spend a magical afternoon in New York and we couldn’t recommend this special experience more highly.
