Belmond’s Hotel Cipriani is home to Oro, which was awarded a Michelin star less than two years since its grand reveal. Glittering from its recent accolade, it ensures to offer a star studded dining experience. Situated on the tip of Venice’s Giudecca Island, it boasts views across the lagoon which leads towards the infamous Piazza San Marco.

Dining in Oro is an exceptional affair. The interior is classically beautiful, a timeless gem. The handmade Murano glass chandelier further accentuates the sparkle or Oro.

Belmond’s imaginative chefs draw inspiration from the season’s best local ingredients, delivering a unique experience to its guests. The executive chef Davide Bisetto has grand plans to ring in the beginning of the season. He has devised an exclusive menu available only until the end of April, themed around the encounter and transition between winter and spring. “It will be a legendary menu” Chef Davide enthuses, “with plates that combine early vegetables from the garden with the latest winter crops, such as cabbage and black truffle. At this time of year you get the best flavours from the meats and fish you’d associate with winter, such as goose and sea urchin.”

No stranger to success, Chef Davide was lauded for becoming the first Italian chef to earn two Michelin stars in France.

Dishes to look out for include Gnocchetti vegetali con primizie di Primavera; small gnocchi complemented by the freshest garden produce. Be sure to savour the deliciously cooked goose with decadent black truffle, rich flavours which one would usually associate with the colder months, but have been given a fresh new vibrancy with the addition of the new season’s basil.

Chef Davide is an artist; the way in which he captures the true flavours of Venice is exceptional. Offering guests a unique taste experience that truly and authentically reflects the time and place in which the dishes are served.

Here at the Private Travel Company we cannot wait to try Chef Davide’s menu. If you would like to experience this unique and wonderful culinary delight, please do contact us on 020 3355 6764.
