Fidel Castro’s Ashes Began Their Four Day Journey across Cuba
Legendary Cuban Leader Fidel Castro died at the age of 90 on the 25 November 2016. On the 30 November Fidel Castro’s ashes began their journey across Cuba, over the space of four days the ashes were driven from Havana to their final resting place of Santiago. This procession ran for over 500 miles, and on reaching Santiago it marked the end of the mourning period for the Cuban ruler who was in power for just under 50 years.
