The deep, warm waters between Tenerife and the neighbouring island of La Gomera are teeming with microscopic marine life therefore making it prime feeding grounds for a wide variety of whale species who pass through the area on their migratory routes.  Many pods of bottle-nosed dolphins have also made these waters their home, therefore making Tenerife a perfect destination for a Whale and Dolphin watching trip for all ages, be it with friends, loved ones or family.

Boats usually depart the marinas in the morning and are governed by guidelines laid down by the Atlantic Whale foundation therefore maintaining the preservation and respect of these wonderful creatures.  Many boats operating these trips are also working closely with research projects therefore making it an ideal educational excursion for younger members of the family, as well as of course one that is extraordinarily thrilling.
